Answer:

  • A Liberal Arts curriculum seeks to implement an appreciation of knowledge, social awareness, and scientific inquiry in education. It offers a variety of courses from almost every field of study with special emphasis on social sciences (philosophy, psychology, sociology), humanities (English and languages), political science (International affairs and American politics), and fine Arts.
  • Science and Technology curricula are interested in teaching the importance of numbers and scientific theory. These institutions will offer an education directed towards mathematics (algebra, calculus, mathematical theory), sciences (biology, physics, chemistry), engineering, computers (intelligence, programming), and economics.
  • Most Colleges and Universities are comprehensive, which means they offer a variety of degrees in both science and technology, and liberal arts. Therefore, one of the major factors in college selection should be whether a college offers a strong curriculum in your intended field of study.
  • Junior College provides a two-year curriculum where you can earn an Associates Degree..
  • Note: Because of the various degrees, courses, and departments that colleges offer, it very important to have some career ideas when you apply. If however, you are still uncertain of the path you wish to pursue later in life, choose a college that offers a variety of strong degree plans. It will more than likely have the major you want when you make your final decision.
