  • Apply! Do not determine your financial inability to go to College because of a price tag.
  • Financial aid is the money used by sources (excluding you and your family) that pays for your college education. The types of financial aid available are:
  • A Grant is gift money given to you by the government that does not have to be paid back. (ex: Pell Grant)
  • A loan is borrowed money from the government or the college that usually does not have to be repaid until after you graduate from college.
  • A Scholarship is money given to you by either a college or private source that does not require any pay-back.
  • College work study is campus employment given to you by the college.
