Answer:

  • Financial aid is granted to students who demonstrate some sort of financial need to attend college. Family income is the greatest factor in the financial aid process, with many other exceptions.
  • You can pick up your free financial aid application in the counselor’s office of your high school, public library or college and university. You can either use the Financial Aid Form (FAF) or the Family Financial Statement (FFS). You must check with your prospective college to find out which one they require.
  • apply for financial aid by filling the financial aid forms after January 1st of the year you plan to enroll in college, but before May 1st of that same year.
  • You will be notified of your financial aid status about a month after applying to the national financial aid office.
